How a migration runs
Nothing goes dark.
Most people put off moving hosts because they're afraid of losing the site or the email. Here's the order it actually happens in.

Audit
I map what's on the old host: files, databases, mailboxes, every DNS record, and flag anything that will break in the move before it does.

Stage
A full working copy goes up on the new host and gets tested there. Forms, payments and mail are checked while the live site carries on untouched.
03
Cut over
DNS switches at a quiet hour. Mail keeps flowing. The old host stays paid and live until propagation is finished everywhere.
04
Hand over
You get every login, a written record of what sits where, and a plan for keeping it healthy, whether or not you keep me on retainer.
